Rhythm & Ride was born on Country, in the red dirt of Broome, shaped by the legacy of Aboriginal stockmen and women and the rhythm of our communities.
Created by Saltwater Country, we bring together rodeo, campdrafting, country music, food, and art to create a festival that feels like home. It’s about connection, pride, and celebrating culture in motion.
Our purpose is simple: to empower First Peoples, inspire the next generation, and create real social and economic opportunities through sport, creativity, and culture.
Rhythm & Ride is more than a festival. It’s a shared space to honour where we come from, celebrate who we are, and ride forward together.
Before, during, and after the festival, Rhythm & Ride spills beyond the arena into town
- celebrating the creativity and industry of the Kimberley.
Thanks to Saltwater Country’s leadership, Rhythm & Ride has generated nearly $1M in community benefit, fueling jobs, training, tourism, and youth pathways.
Every event creates real employment, mentorship, and opportunities for First Peoples.
When you attend, sponsor, or volunteer, you’re investing in a stronger, more connected future.

From the Git Up Family Fun Day to the Junior Rodeo, there’s something for everyone at Rhythm & Ride.
Kids enter free on the first day, and families can enjoy interactive experiences in sport, music, art, and food - all rooted in cultural pride.
When you support Saltwater Academy, you help create measurable outcomes across the Kimberley and beyond.
Deloitte’s Social Return on Investment (SROI) framework shows a $2.64 return for every $1 invested, proof that culture-first development delivers results that ripple outward.
For youth, it means jobs.
For communities, it means opportunity.
For you, it means being part of something that truly works.
You don’t have to live in Broome to make an impact.
You can mentor, partner, sponsor, or simply stand with us , every action helps a young person step into their power.
So ask yourself:
How do you want to make your mark?
